Our meeting place is Pimmit Hills Center located at 7510 Lisle Ave, Falls Church VA 22043. The entrance is located at Door 7. Meetings are usually scheduled for the second Saturday of the month. Timeline:
- 8:00 am – Doors open, Social
- 8:30 am – Show and Tell
- 9:00 am – Business meetings
- 9:30 am – Demonstrations
- 12:30 pm – Finished
Each meeting we will have various group buy items, such as CAW clothing, wood, misc tools, etc.

Join us for a turning class where you’ll learn how to use simple tools and spindle turning techniques to create items for use in the kitchen. Perfect for beginners, this hands-on workshop covers everything from selecting materials to shaping, sanding, and finishing techniques. By the end, you’ll walk away with a spurtle, a French Rolling pin, and some new skills. Please bring eye protection gear to class. All wood, tools, and supplies to craft your items will provided. 1 session @4hrs.

Woodturning – Make a wood turned Bowl
In this class you will learn to turn a wood Bowl on a lathe. This class will introduce you to bowl turning. This is a hands-on class focusing on the tools used, safety, and the techniques necessary to walk away with your own bowl. This one-time, 4-hour class will be held at the Pimmit Hills.
– The class has space for up to 6 people, so everyone gets a chance to learn and practice.
– Be ready to stand and work during the class.
– For your safety and comfort, please bring eye protection to the class.
– All wood, tools, and supplies to craft your items will be provided.
Students are welcome to bring their own wood-turning tools, but it is not necessary..

Woodturning – Basics and Safety Precautions of Woodburning
In this class you will learn the basic requirements and safety precautions for Pyrography, also known as woodburning. This class will introduce you to the equipment, methods and materials required for safe and relaxing woodburning. This is a hands-on class focusing on the tools used, safety, and the techniques necessary to walk away with your own story board of burning techniques and patterns. Time permitting a small project will at least be started. This one-time, 4-hour class will be held at the Pimmit Hills.
– The class has space for up to 6 people, so everyone gets a chance to learn and practice.
– Be ready to stand and work during the class.
– For your safety and comfort, please bring eye protection to the class.
– All wood, tools, and supplies to craft your items will be provided.
