Welcome to our event calendar. Here you will find everything you need to know about important, upcoming events. When they start, where they are and how to get to them. Please check this page often for new and updated event information. Click on the demonstrators name to be taken to their website.
Our meeting place is Bryant High School It’s located at 2709 Popkins Lane, Alexandria VA 22306 (starting May 2024 new meeting location will be the Pimmit Hills Center located at 7510 Lisle Ave, Falls Church VA 22043). The entrance is located at the SW corner of the school through the door closest to the baseball field. Meetings are usually scheduled for the second Saturday of the month starting at 8:00 am for “Social & Donuts”, 8:30 am for “Show & Tell,” 9:00 am for business meetings, and 9:30 am for demonstrations. A demonstration fee of $15.00 will be collected (per person & cash only). We will be done at approximately 12:30 pm.
Each meeting we will have various group buy items, such as CAW clothing, wood, misc tools, etc.

Dying and Stabilizing Spalted and Punky Wood. I’ll start with a short PowerPoint presentation walking through the equipment and the stabilization process, then turn and finish a few small projects using dyed and stabilized wood and follow that up with a Q & A session. When turning, I’ll talk about the mounting, turning, fixing defects, sanding and finishing.
